Acrobat Television’s post production facilities consist of broadcast standard uncompressed full High Definition (HD) edit suites, with integrated 2D and 3D graphics and a full range of video effects. Although now mainly file based Acrobat has a range of tape based Standard Definition VCRs including Digibeta, DVCam, Betacam and Betacam SP for instant access to archive material and for tape based mastering, if required. The edit suites can be hired with or without our experienced editors and there is also a portable, Mac Book Pro based, Final Cut Pro suite for editing off site.

The non-linear systems work powerfully as an integral part of Acrobat Television’s file based management system to provide what has been refined to be one of the most efficient work flows in the industry.

Voiceover Recording is done loss-lessly from the purpose built booth directly to the Raid drives.

Footage library

Acrobat Television’s workflow incorporates Shotstore a highly advanced online footage database and library system. This provides instant access for our production staff and clients, from anywhere in the World, to one of the largest libraries of footage in the UK – over 10,000 hours of broadcast standard material. Acrobat was the first adopters of Shotstore and was involved in its development.

Acrobat clients are provided with passwords to access their own material in a confidential and secure way allowing for quick and easy access to valuable stocks of footage that can be built up over many years.
