Acrobat personnel are time served professionals used to working at the high end of broadcast television production. We can provide the following technical crew:

Acrobat recognises that different jobs require different skills and temperaments and it is always the aim to ensure that the personnel we provide are appropriate for the work and environment. Moreover, our crews have been filming in extreme conditions for over 25 years and if you need a crew that can ski around a mountain with 25kg of kit or hang off the back of a yacht and give steady shots in a force 5 then Acrobat’s experts are the men, or women, for the job.

 

Shooting – Portable single camera units

Acrobat has a range of High Definition cameras to suit most situations.

Popular for budget end productions are the Canon 5D SLR cameras, great for talking heads and giving a shallow depth of field for that filmic look – not recommended for action footage.

Where action footage is required the Sony EX3s are a good solution at a reasonable price. Our EX3 kits have a full range of lenses including Fujinon wide angle lenses (not adaptors). Cameras can record to external drives at 4.2.2.

But if it’s quality over price that you need then the Sony PDW 700 XDCam is the current market leading shoulder mount camera that we offer. Fantastic performance with the benefit of recording to disc which saves all that wasted time backing up files on the shoot.

We also now have available the Olympus iSpeed3 High Speed camera which is capable of 2,000 frames per second at 720HD and an incredible 150,000 frames per second with smaller file sizes for technical applications.
